Bernhard Gander’s new piano concerto “Scorching Scherzo” dedicated to Joonas Ahonen got its premiere at the ECLAT Festival in Stuttgart on February 3, 2023. The SWR Symphony Orchestra was conducted by Titus Engel. Commissioned by Südwestrundfunk and the ÖRF, the piece will get its second performance at the Musikprotokoll Festival in Graz on October 7 with the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra.
